Our goal is to ensure you regain your optimal functioning, based on your specific condition, so that you can return to working and living as well as possible.
At Springer Physical Therapy, our certified Hand Therapist will assist in helping you return to optimal functioning of your hands and arms. A hand therapist is a therapist that specializes in treating patients with conditions and injuries that affect their fingers, hands, wrists and elbows. To become certified, hand therapists successfully complete advanced study and have several years of experience and mentoring by a certified hand therapist. They also have specialized training in the building of customized splint for post surgery or injury
Our certified hand therapist will evaluate and treat any problem related to the upper extremity, and provide effective assessment, treatment and rehabilitation through post-operative care, prevention, non-operative or conservative treatment or consultation. The therapist works closely with your physician and other providers to provide a full continuum of care. Your therapy should begin within days of your injury or surgery right through your return to work and/or a productive lifestyle.
